Cedar Shingles

Cedar is an ideal choice for roofing as well as interior and exterior wall covering.  If offers a high degree of insulation minimizing heat loss in winter and keeping the home cooler in summer.  It's also a highly effective sound barrier.  It is
long-lasting and practically maintenance free.

Cedar's natural oils make it insect and fungus repellent.  When applied with 5" to the weather, 16" cedar shingles will afford three layers of overlapping wood to prevent even the strongest winds and bad weather from penetrating your home.

Pine Cladboards

Clapboards are one of the most popular kinds of exterior siding, and have been for generations.  They are most commonly either cedar or pine, and generally measure 1/2" thick to 6" wide, in varying lengths.  Generally clapboards are installed so that 4" of the total 6" material is exposed to the weather.  Each course overlaps another course by 2".  Pine clapboards are a lower cost alternative to cedar siding.
